This work re-fictionalized a dual framework based on the conflict
between neoliberal colonialism and the authoritarianism that has never undergone modernization, aiming to reconstruct a classic narrative about
the misconception of “justice” among the common people as weak position
in society. It delves into the triangular tragedy strangled within the grip of the dual authorities. The title is taken from a famous pop song from the 1980s in Hong Kong, sung by the internationally renowned actor Leslie Cheung. The piece explores the myth of “justice” through the lens of the silent and traditional beliefs prevalent in the lower echelons of Chinese society, embodying a philosophy akin to “silence is golden” and the concept of “Thick Black Theory.”
