This conceptual piece is Dragonn’s response to Yoko Ono and John Lenon’s famous conceptual public art piece War is Over, which expresses the threat of war in our current time. This work comprises multiple stages with various forms of art including text on paper, performance, carving, robbing, in order to emphasize the process of art.

Stage 1: Using hand held hammer and chisel, Dragonn carved out the words “the future is our fault” on the wall, imitating bullet holes.

Stage 2: A performance at the opening of the show, he threw out a bunch of paper copies of his work “The War is NOT Over” from the gallery upper lever.

Stage 3: Using traditional chinese robbing technique, he robbed the text “the future is our fault” from the wall.

Stage 4: A performance of using wall filler to recover the wall, holes on the wall are permanently gone.
